Qantas Gold Coast – Auckland
Qantas Airways is launching new direct flights from the Gold Coast to Auckland. Qantas Flight QF209 will depart Gold Coast on Tuesday, Thursday at 2:15pm and Arrive in Auckland at 7:20pm. Return flights from Auckland will depart the same days at 11:05am and Arrive at Gold Coast Airport at 12:45pm The new flights are scheduled to commence on the 16th of June 2026.
Bali’s Bad Influence
Immigration authorities in Bali have issued a warning to content creators and influencers seeking to shoot content on the island – they now having the ability to cancel visas of those who create monetised content. Balinese tourist visas strictly prohibited travellers from partaking in any paid work.
Gold Coast Airport Record
New data has revealed last month was Gold Coast Airport’s busiest April in history, with more than half a million passengers travelling through the terminal throughout the month. A total of 570,703 passengers were recorded, 41,606 more than the same time last year, also surpassing the previous April record set in 2018. The busiest day was the last day of school holidays on 19 April when more than 22,400 pax passed through.
Europe via Hanoi
Vietjet has announced its first long-haul service to Europe, providing Aussies with a new budget link to Europe. From 10 Oct, the low-cost carrier will operate twice weekly between Hanoi and Prague, with a stop in Almaty, Kazakhstan, using one of its Airbus A330s. “This is an important milestone in Vietjet’s strategy to become a global aviation group,” said Vietjet CEO Nguyen Thanh Son. He also revealed that the airline is looking to add more European routes soon.
