Going for the Goldie: Fiji Airways unveils nonstop Gold Coast-Fiji flights for 2026

Gold Coast Airport will welcome another international carrier to South East Queensland, with Fiji Airways set to commence direct Gold Coast–Nadi flights from June 11, 2026.

The new service on Fiji Airways’ Boeing 737 MAX 8 will operate three times weekly direct flights between the Gold Coast and Nadi , providing an additional 53,000 seats per year between the two destinations.

The route will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Gold Coast at 9:15am and touching down at Nadi at 11:30am, linking the two beach hotspots in just over three hours for faster, more convenient connections.

The Gold Coast is Fiji Airways’ seventh Australian port, adding to the carrier’s growing international network and offering one-stop connections to key destinations in North America, Asia and the South Pacific.

Managing Director & CEO of Fiji Airways, Paul Scurrahsaid: “The Gold Coast is a natural fit for Fiji Airways. This new direct service strengthens ties between Fiji and Australia, unlocking significant opportunities for both outbound and inbound travel.”

Queensland Airports Limited CEO Amelia Evans said it was an exciting milestone in the expansion of Gold Coast Airport’s international network.

“What’s particularly exciting about this route is that, on top of gaining another spectacular holiday destination for locals, this connection with Fiji will further open up the Gold Coast to the world,” she said.

“Fiji Airways has strong links into the United States and Canada, so this service will also give travellers the option to fly from North America to the Gold Coast via Fiji.”
