Tasmania’s Overland Track is famous the world over and our 5 day signature trip is a great way to experience it if you’re short on time. We’ll walk the last three days of the Overland Track entering the Wilderness World Heritage Area via the Arm River Track through to Lake St Clair.  

The journey begins with a welcome dinner and briefing at the historic Red Feather Inn, just outside Launceston. The next morning, we set off towards Cradle Mountain, embarking on a fully guided, 42-kilometre adventure through Tasmania’s iconic wilderness to the shores of Lake St Clair—Australia’s deepest natural lake. Over five days, our signature experience immerses you in breathtaking landscapes, with the option to summit Mt Ossa, Tasmania’s highest peak, on Day 3.

Inclusions

  • Accommodation (twin share) each evening on track in our four private huts or standing camp.
  • Return transfers between Launceston and Cradle Mountain/ Lake St Clair
  • All meals and non-alcoholic beverages, plus a limited selection of Tasmanian wines
  • National Park and Overland Track passes
  • Boat transfer across Lake St Clair (If applicable to your walk)
  • Use of a backpack and Gore-tex jacket for the duration of the walk
  • Sleeping bags, pillows and a comfortable mattress at each hut
  • Sleeping sheet and pillowcase to carry with you
  • Two qualified guides for the duration of the walk
  • Return transfers between Red Feather Inn and the start/finish of the walk
  • Accommodation and dinner on the night one at Red Feather Inn.

Day 1: Red Feather Inn Day 2: Red Feather Inn to Pelion Plains Hut - Approximately 6 hours of walking Day 3: Pelion Plains Hut to Kia Ora Hut - Approximately 4 hours of walking – Optional Mt Ossa Summit Day 4: Kia Ora Hut to Windy Ridge Hut - Approximately 5 hours of walking Day 5: Windy Ridge Hut to Lake St Clair - Approximately 5 hours of walking

Conditions Apply. Credit Card Fees Apply. All prices are quoted per person in $AUD including GST and are on a seasonal basis. All accommodation is twin share. Single travellers may be required to share a twin room with another walker if the departure fills to capacity. To guarantee a single room for the duration of the walk a supplementary price of 75% of full fee will apply. This needs to be requested at the time of booking. FINAL PAYMENT: The balance of the booking price is payable to the Company at least 90 days prior to departure. If your departure falls on a public holiday an additional $100 surcharge is applied to your departure to cover the increased cost of operation. Subject to change without notice.
